Research Question: Does the weight of an object have an effect on the distance it can be thrown?

Explanatory variable: The object's weight is the explanatory variable.

Response variable: The distance the object is thrown is the response variable.

Methods: After gathering the objects I would like to throw, I will weigh them and record the results. Weights will be recorded in grams or pounds. Once all objects are ready, I will throw them all from the same starting point, measuring the landing distance with a measuring tape. The distance an object is thrown will be measured in inches.

Expected association: I expect the correlation between these two variables to be negative.I feel that the heavier the object is, the shorter the distance it will be thrown.
